Armenian prosecutors seek to seize millions and property linked to ex-president Kocharyan

Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office is seeking to confiscate assets of alleged illegal origin from former President Robert Kocharyan and his associates, including real estate, cash holdings, and stakes in companies, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan said on Monday.
Speaking in parliament, Vardapetyan listed the defendants as Robert and Bella Kocharyan, Sedrak Kocharyan, Zarui Badalyan, Levon and Siranush Kocharyan, Gayane Kocharyan, and Vigen Chatinyan.
Authorities are demanding the seizure of 22 properties, rights to purchase two more, over $3 million, 8.3 billion Armenian drams, 260 million rubles, approximately €590,000, bonds worth 985 million drams, more than $1.4 million in bank deposits, stakes in 15 companies, $4 million in loan receivables, and two vehicles.
The case has been submitted to the court for review.
