Soviet flag costs Azerishig official his job

"Azerishig" OJSC has dismissed Saleh Samedov, deputy head of the Aran Regional Electricity Supply and Sales Department in Imishli, for raising the USSR flag, a reliable source told Anews.az.

Samedov also chaired the Council of Elders in Imishli.

In a comment to Anews.az, Samedov said he was unaware of his dismissal.

In response, "Azerishig" OJSC stated that Samedov is no longer an employee:
"There is currently no such employee at Azerishig. If he ever worked with us, it was years ago," the company said.
