Water levels rise in Azerbaijani rivers – hydrometeorology service

Water levels in rivers across various regions of Azerbaijan have risen, the National Hydrometeorological Service said on Sunday.

According to the agency, rivers flowing from the Greater Caucasus saw increases of 12 cm in the Qusar River and 4 cm in the Qudyal River. In the Lesser Caucasus, the Gabirri River rose by 2 cm. In the Karabakh and East Zangazur regions, the Quru River rose by 11 cm, the Okhchu River by 8 cm, the Tartar River in Kalbajar by 7 cm, and in Veng by 5 cm.

The agency added that at the Jalair station on the transboundary Ganykh River, water levels increased by 7 cm, with flow volume reaching 392 cubic meters per second — 193% of the seasonal norm.
