Azerbaijan’s education minister meets Times Higher Education leadership

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, met with senior representatives of Times Higher Education (THE) on the sidelines of the 21st World Education Forum in London.

The meeting focused on the current rankings of Azerbaijani universities in THE’s global tables and their potential for future improvement. The two sides also discussed upcoming joint projects that are expected to be implemented in the coming months.

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and representatives of leading national universities are set to participate in the Global Congress on Sustainable Development, to be held in Istanbul from June 16 to 19 with THE’s support.

Preparations are also underway for the Eurasian University Summit, which will be hosted in Baku for the first time on September 24–25 under the theme “Transnational Research: From Knowledge to Global Impact”. The event is expected to bring together over 50 globally recognized speakers and more than 350 participants from around 150 institutions.
