Azerbaijan establishes 12 regional financial offices

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance has abolished district-level financial departments and established 12 regional offices in line with the country’s updated economic zoning.

The move is aimed at optimizing management and improving the performance of local divisions, the ministry said on May 22.

The new regional offices include: Absheron-Khizi, Mountainous Shirvan, Ganja-Dashkasan, Karabakh, Gazakh-Tovuz, Guba-Khachmaz, Lankaran-Astara, Central Aran, Mil-Mugan, Shaki-Zagatala, Eastern Zangazur, and Shirvan-Salyan.
