Several important agreements related to renewable energy and oil and gas exploration are expected to be signed during Baku Energy Week, a spokesperson for the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) said.

Speaking at a press conference dedicated to the event, SOCAR’s press secretary Orkhan Huseynov noted that the company will present its decarbonization initiatives at its stand during the exhibition.

He added that information will also be shared regarding documents already signed by SOCAR in the lead-up to the COP29 climate summit.

“While I cannot disclose details about the upcoming agreements at this stage, additional information will be shared with the public in the coming days,” Huseynov said.
