Over 7 years, more than 182 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported via the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC), which ensures the transportation of Azerbaijani natural gas to Türkiye and from there to Europe, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry.

The ministry stated that the Southern Gas Corridor is a massive energy project of global significance and plays an important role in the energy security of Europe and regional countries.

As part of the project, gas produced from the Shah Deniz Stage 2 field is transported to European and regional countries through the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), and Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
