Armenia fails to pay CSTO membership fee — foreign minister

Armenia has not paid its 2024 membership fee to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) due to the suspension of its participation in the bloc, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.
“Due to the suspension of our participation in the CSTO, Armenia has not paid the membership fee for 2024,” Mirzoyan told parliament on Thursday.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said that if Armenia fails to make the payment by the end of 2025, CSTO member states could consider “various scenarios.”
Mirzoyan added that political dialogue between Armenia and Russia remains active.
“Our dialogue with Russia has been very active since the beginning of the year. You may recall that I visited Russia earlier this year, and recently Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited our country,” he said.
