Azerbaijan will open a trade representative office in Uzbekistan next week as part of broader efforts to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev said Wednesday at the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum.

“This will be Azerbaijan’s sixth trade office abroad and will provide a new impetus to our partnership with Uzbekistan,” Aliyev noted.

He also announced that a meeting of the Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation is planned for next week.

Aliyev highlighted the importance of a jointly established $500 million Investment Fund, which has already identified 12 specific projects through its supervisory board.

He emphasized that the commission serves as a vital platform for expanding bilateral economic relations.
