Boeing shares tumble nearly 8% after 787 crash in India

Shares of Boeing fell sharply on Wednesday following reports that an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed near Ahmedabad in western India.

As of 13:30 Baku time, Boeing stock was down 7.96% at $196.97 on the New York Stock Exchange. By 13:41, losses had narrowed slightly, with the stock trading at $199.14, down 6.93%.

The aircraft was operating a flight from Ahmedabad to London and was carrying 242 people at the time of the incident, according to preliminary reports.
