Another group of displaced families returns to liberated village in Aghdam

Azerbaijan has dispatched another resettlement convoy to the village of Kangarli in the Aghdam district as part of its ongoing “Great Return” program to territories recaptured from Armenian control, the government said on Tuesday.
According to state media, the 40 families — comprising 154 people — were previously housed in temporary accommodations such as dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings across the country.
The returning residents expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the government’s support, as well as to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and fallen soldiers who contributed to the liberation of the region.
Currently, more than 43,000 people reside in the Karabakh and East Zangazur regions, including former internally displaced persons (IDPs), state employees, and specialists working in the reconstruction and operation of health, education, culture, tourism, industry and energy facilities.
