Azerbaijan launches teacher certification process

Azerbaijan on Tuesday began the testing phase of a nationwide teacher certification process, the Ministry of Science and Education said.

The exams will take place on June 18–20 and again on June 24 and 25. Teachers have received details about the time and location of their tests through their personal accounts on the portal.edu.az platform.

On June 18, exams are being held for teachers of mathematics, foreign languages, Azerbaijani language and literature, and Russian language and literature. Geography and primary education teachers will be tested on June 19. On June 20, tests will cover English, primary education, and several other subjects. Biology and chemistry exams will follow on June 24, while physics and computer science are scheduled for June 25.

This year’s certification process includes teachers of chemistry, biology, physics, geography, computer science, primary education, Azerbaijani language and literature, mathematics, and foreign languages such as English, Russian, German, and French.
