Azerbaijan’s tourism services turnover rises nearly 9% – central bank

Azerbaijan’s mutual tourism services turnover increased by 8.8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, reaching $751.9 million, the central bank said .

Tourism exports stood at $380.5 million, while imports were $371.4 million, resulting in a surplus of $9.1 million.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad fell by 0.7%, while foreign arrivals in Azerbaijan dropped by 1.1%.

Some 79.2% of tourism spending was related to personal travel. Construction services provided to non-residents in the non-oil sector fell 12.5 times to $0.4 million last year, while other business services rose by 61% to $0.5 billion.
