Mobile operator continues its mission to promote national cultural heritage

On 12 June 2025, a commemorative event titled “Ucal – in Art, in Memory, in Hearts…” was held to mark the 65th anniversary of the renowned Azerbaijani artist Ucal Haqverdiyev.
Organized in tribute to the artist’s life and legacy, the event brought together distinguished representatives of cultural and artistic communities, as well as esteemed public figures. During the event, Azercell presented a newly published book highlighting Haqverdiyev’s life and creative journey.
Speaking at the event, Sona Abbasova, Director of Corporate and Marketing Communications at Azercell Telekom, emphasized the importance of the publication initiated and supported by Azercell: “Protecting and promoting the legacy of great artists like Ucal Haqverdiyev is of special importance to us, as preserving and celebrating our national cultural heritage is one of the key pillars of our corporate social responsibility strategy.”
In honor of the anniversary, “Azerpost” LLC issued a special set of commemorative stamps featuring Haqverdiyev’s iconic works – “Self-Portrait”, “Dervish”, and “Stroll”. Presenting the stamps to the guests, Sitara Huseynova, Head of Department at Azerpost, noted that these philatelic releases aim to preserve the artist’s legacy of the author.
Another highlight of the evening was the launch of a digital card collection inspired by Ucal Haqverdiyev’s artworks, developed by “A-Solutions Electronic Money Organization” LLC.
Speaking about the “Finance meets culture” initiative, CEO of A-Solutions, Hasan Hasanov stated: “We believe that the real power of technology lies not only in its functionality but in the value, it brings to people's everyday lives.”
At the end of the evening, guests received copies of the commemorative book published in celebration of Ucal Haqverdiyev’s 65th anniversary.
