Azerbaijani police register 55 new crimes in one day – Interior Ministry

Azerbaijani police registered 55 new criminal cases and solved 13 previously unresolved crimes on June 20, the Interior Ministry’s press service said on Friday.

A total of 147 individuals wanted by law enforcement were detained and handed over to the relevant authorities, including 125 people being sought over debt-related issues.

Police also recorded 32 drug-related offenses and identified 11 cases involving illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

In all, 42 individuals suspected of committing crimes were detained.
