Azerbaijan expects near-normal July temperatures

Average temperatures in Azerbaijan this July are expected to be near seasonal norms, though slightly above average in some regions, the National Hydrometeorology Service said on Monday.
The first half of the month is forecast to bring unstable weather, including rain, thunderstorms, and strong northwesterly winds on some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be around normal across most of the country.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, average temperatures will range from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius, with highs possibly reaching 40°C on certain days. Daytime temperatures in the Nakhchivan and Aran regions may also climb to 38–40°C. Cooler conditions are expected in the mountainous areas, including Karabakh.
While overall climate indicators will remain within normal ranges, short-term extreme temperature fluctuations are possible on some days, the agency said.
