Ukrainian authorities have added Igor Kartavykh and Yevgeny Belousov, the detained director and editor-in-chief of “Sputnik Azerbaijan”, to the Mirotvorets (Peacemaker) blacklist.

Kyiv accuses the two of conducting propaganda in support of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Both men were recently ordered into pre-trial detention for four months by the Khatai District Court in Baku. Azerbaijani authorities have charged them with fraud committed by an organized group, illegal entrepreneurship with substantial income, and laundering large amounts of criminal proceeds.
