Fire at Baku lumber market extinguished — emergency ministry

A fire broke out at a lumber market in Baku’s Narimanov district, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Monday.

Firefighting teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, and police cordoned off the area for safety. Ambulance crews also responded.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
