Gold production surges in Azerbaijan — Anglo Asian Mining

Anglo Asian Mining (AAM) has significantly increased gold production in Azerbaijan, reporting 16,378 ounces of gold equivalent in the first half of 2025 — 3.1 times higher than the same period last year.

The flagship Gedabek mine produced 11,382 ounces of gold (up 2.4 times) and nearly 15,000 ounces of silver (up nearly 5 times). The company sold 9,781 ounces of gold bars at an average price of $3,077 per ounce.

Copper concentrate output rose to 6,595 tonnes (up 39.7 times), with 5,432 tonnes sold for $9.9 million.

AAM also launched extraction at the Gilar site, which holds 255,000 ounces of gold. As of 2024, AzerGold represents the state's 51% share in the production contract, while AAM retains 49%.
