Azerbaijan’s foreign trade surplus drops threefold

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover totaled $24.4 billion, up 12.1% compared to the same period last year, according to the State Customs Committee.

Exports accounted for $12.878 billion, while imports stood at $11.522 billion. Over the year, exports edged down by 0.2%, while imports surged by 29.9%.

As a result, the foreign trade surplus amounted to $1.356 billion — three times lower than the same period a year ago.
