Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends condolences to Iraq

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended condolences to Iraq over the deadly fire at a shopping center in the city of Kut.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by the fire at the shopping center in Kut, Iraq. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to the friendly government and people of Iraq. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” the ministry said in a post on its X account.

At least 50 people were killed in the blaze. Iraq has declared three days of national mourning.
