Another “Zero Waste” solidarity marathon held in the Gazakh-Tovuz economic region

Another “Zero Waste” solidarity marathon was organized on the initiative of the “Red Hearts” Foundation and Kapital Bank, in partnership with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The campaign took place in the village of Kura in the Shamkir district, near the Shamkir reservoir. During the event, a total of 750 kilograms of household waste were collected and delivered to the appropriate facilities. The cleanup effort involved 33 volunteers from Kapital Bank’s branch network covering the Gazakh-Tovuz economic region.
The main goal of the project is to raise public awareness of environmental issues, foster a culture of environmental responsibility, promote cleanliness in coastal, mountain, and forested areas, and encourage individuals to adopt more responsible behavior toward nature.
It should be noted that the marathon, launched by the Red Hearts Foundation and Kapital Bank in the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” in 2024, has covered a wide geography and has been implemented in the Ganja-Dashkasan, Lankaran-Astara, Central Aran, Sheki-Zagatala, Baku and Guba-Khachmaz economic regions to date.
