Man arrested in Khankendi for fire caused by open-flame cooking

A 51-year-old man has been arrested in Khankendi after a fire broke out near a residential building, Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry said on Sunday.

The fire was caused by careless use of an open flame while cooking. Approximately 40 square meters of greenery were damaged, the ministry said.

A local court ordered the pre-trial detention of the suspect, identified as Malik Ismayilov.
