Four foreigners detained while attempting to cross Azerbaijan's border illegally

Four foreign nationals have been detained while trying to illegally cross Azerbaijan’s borders with Russia and Georgia, the State Border Service said on Tuesday.
According to the agency, on July 27, border guards in the area of the “Sheki” border detachment apprehended three Algerian nationals — Mesimi Rami Suleiman (born 1997), Moussaoui Tadjedin Hasan (born 2004), and Kateb Djoudi Abdulkhani (born 2003) — as they attempted to cross into Russia.
That same day, Sri Lankan citizen Udula Imantalanka was detained in the area of the “Gazakh” border division while attempting to cross into Georgia.
Investigative measures are ongoing in connection with the incidents, the agency said.
