Georgia ready to support Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks, says PM

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said Tbilisi is ready to support dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan to ensure lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
Speaking at a meeting with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan during a UN conference in Turkmenistan, Kobakhidze welcomed the joint statement by Yerevan and Baku on concluding negotiations over a peace agreement.
“This is an important step toward peace and stability in the region,” he said.
