Azerbaijan's consumer price index reached 105.0% in July 2025

Azerbaijan's consumer price index reached 105.0% in July 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, with food products, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco seeing a 106.2% increase, non-food products rising by 102.1%, and paid services up by 105.6%, according to the State Statistical Committee.

Compared to June 2025, the consumer price index fell by 0.1%, settling at 99.9%. From January to July 2025, the index stood at 105.8%, compared to the same period last year.

In the food, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco category, prices decreased by 0.5% from June, although they rose by 6.6% over the seven-month period.

The largest price increases in July were seen in long-grain rice, beef and lamb, sausages, sunflower and corn oils, lemons, cherries, apricots, greens, and chocolate products.

Meanwhile, prices for eggs, bananas, apples, pears, plums, peaches, watermelons, berries, grapes, white cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, beans, table beets, carrots, onions, and potatoes decreased. No significant price changes were reported for other food items.

Among non-food products, cleaning and washing products, as well as personal hygiene items, saw price hikes, while prices for parquet, orthopedic mattresses, and writing paper dropped.

In the paid services sector, price increases were primarily noted for dental services, long-distance air travel, wellness tours, and hotel stays. A decrease was recorded in air travel services to neighboring countries.
