Russia to halt gas supplies to Armenia for one day for pipeline repairs

Russia will halt gas supplies to Armenia for one day starting Aug. 22 due to emergency repair work in Georgia, Gazprom Armenia said on Friday, citing Armenian media.
The works will be carried out on the Krasny Most-Sevkar-Berd transit pipeline, the company said. Supplies will stop at 6:00 a.m. local time and resume after 24 hours.
Consumers will be supplied from internal reserves and additional volumes of natural gas imported from Iran, it added.
