Iran hopes for swift start of Russian gas supplies via Azerbaijan

Iran expects to soon start receiving Russian gas through Azerbaijan, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said, according to TASS.
"We are negotiating with Gazprom, almost all issues are settled. Only the price remains to be agreed, and everything will be launched," he said.
Russia’s Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev earlier said first gas shipments to Iran via existing infrastructure through Azerbaijan were planned for 2025, with volumes of up to 1.8 billion cubic metres a year.
