Three people were killed and several injured after a platform over a pond collapsed at a resort in Ayrinc village of Nakhchivan’s Shahbuz district, local media reported.

The victims were reportedly members of the same family. Relatives heading to hospital in an ambulance were later involved in a road accident.

Two residents of Nakhchivan city — 42-year-old Tural Huseynov and his 18-year-old son Nijat — were injured and admitted to the Nakhchivan Republic Hospital. Authorities launched an investigation into both incidents.
