China–Europe rail line via Trans-Caspian carries 19,000 containers in five years

 The China–Europe rail express line via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) has moved 19,470 containers (TEU) since its launch five years ago.

A total of 237 trains operated on the corridor, covering 51 routes. In 2024 alone, 4,182 TEU were transported, with 17% of cargo from southern routes sent via this line.

Cargo volumes were distributed mainly across Central Asia, Europe and Azerbaijan, with freight turnover reaching 4.76 billion yuan for Central Asia, 1.76 billion yuan for Europe, and 2.02 billion yuan (around 202 million manats) for Azerbaijan.

Goods transported included daily consumer products, industrial and chemical goods, equipment and auto parts.
