Azerbaijan to build cultural center near Kyiv — Ukraine

Azerbaijan plans to finance the construction of a cultural center in Irpin, near Kyiv, the Ukrainian government said .
Details including the timeline and investment volume were not disclosed. A government order dated September 10 formed a delegation to negotiate with Azerbaijan on building social facilities in Irpin, indicating that talks have begun but no agreement has been signed.
Ukraine’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, said the two countries are preparing documents for four new projects in Irpin.
Background: Azerbaijan has previously funded post-war reconstruction in Irpin, including the Central House of Culture, a youth sports school, an arts center and a residential building, as part of Baku’s humanitarian aid program launched after Russia’s 2022 invasion.
