Azerbaijan’s economy is expected to grow by 2.9% in 2026, driven largely by expansion in the non-oil sector, the finance ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, the oil and gas sector is forecast to contract by 2.4% next year, while the non-oil economy is projected to grow 5%. The outlook reflects continued diversification and stabilization in the domestic market.

The ministry added that economic growth is expected to gradually accelerate through 2029.

For 2025, GDP is projected to rise by 3%, with non-oil GDP up 4.6% and oil and gas output down 0.2%.
