Turkish President: Israel is pressuring Syria, we will not leave Damascus alone
16.09.2025 16:30

"We absolutely cannot leave Syria alone. Therefore, the foreign minister and the intelligence director are conducting close dialogue with Syria. The old days are over for Syria. A new era is beginning now. But as you know, Israel is exerting pressure on Syria from the south," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told journalists upon his return from Qatar.

“They are trying to gain some benefit by following the principle of ‘divide and rule.’ Despite all this, there is a government in Syria that prioritizes inclusiveness. This has changed the balance of power in Syria, and now some cannot accept it,” Erdoğan emphasized.
