Azerbaijan to require a veterinary stamp for all meat and poultry sales

Azerbaijan will require all meat and poultry products to be sold only with a veterinary stamp, the government said on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decree amending the rules for issuing an expert opinion authorizing the sale of meat products.
Under the new rules, meat, animal and poultry carcasses, as well as other meat products, must carry a veterinary stamp based on the expert assessment.
The examinations will be carried out by specialists working in veterinary production-control departments of enterprises and registered with the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency.
