Five years since Armenia’s third missile strike on Azerbaijan’s Ganja

Monday marks five years since Armenian forces carried out their third missile strike on the Azerbaijani city of Ganja during the 2020 war over Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to Report, the attack occurred late on Oct. 8, 2020, when Azerbaijan’s second-largest city came under fire again. No casualties were reported, but homes and vehicles sustained significant damage.
During the Second Karabakh War, Armenian forces launched five missile and artillery strikes on Ganja — on Oct. 4, 5, 8, 11 and 17. In total, 26 civilians were killed and 175 injured, and extensive damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure and vehicles.
Overall, Armenia’s attacks during the 2020 conflict killed 93 civilians, including 12 children and 27 women, injured 454, and damaged more than 12,000 residential and non-residential buildings, 288 vehicles and over 1,000 farms.
