Another Azerbaijani national killed in Syria

IlqarAliyev, a resident of Azerbaijan’s Tartar District, has been killed bygovernment troops in Syria.

Aliyev, 33,was killed in an air strike in the city of Raqqa, which is controlled by theIslamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Azerbaijani authorities said.

He had leftfor Syria a month ago.

A pictureof the man’s dead boy was posted on jihadist websites.

Dozens ofAzerbaijani nationals have been killed in Syrian civil war so far. Most of themwere members of jihadist groups fighting against government forces.
