Azerbaijan opens 3rd National Urban Forum in Khankendi

Azerbaijan has launched its 3rd National Urban Forum (NUFA3) in Khankendi under the theme “Towards climate-resilient and healthy cities: leveraging regional partnerships and innovative solutions.”

The forum focuses on resilience, inclusivity, urban planning innovations and building healthier city environments. Key agenda items include housing accessibility, post-conflict and disaster recovery, greener construction, inclusive governance, digital innovation, nature-based solutions and strengthening regional cooperation.

The event has brought together nearly 400 participants from over 60 countries. NUFA3 also serves as a preparatory step towards the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in 2026. The discussions will conclude in Baku on October 17.
