Azerbaijani community in California marks Independence Restoration Day

A cultural and musical evening dedicated to Azerbaijan’s Independence Restoration Day, October 18, was held in Campbell, California, Report said.
The event was organized by the Cultural Society of Northern California, which has worked for 43 years to strengthen unity among Azerbaijanis in the U.S. It brought together diaspora members and diplomats from Azerbaijan’s consulate general.
Speakers highlighted the history of Azerbaijan’s independence, Heydar Aliyev’s role in building its foundations, and the country’s progress under President Ilham Aliyev. The program featured performances by the drummers’ group Sound of Fire, the band “Neva,” and the Azerbaijani Children’s Dance Ensemble.
At the end of the evening, certificates were awarded to active members of the diaspora.
