Conference of European Rabbis cancels Baku gathering
The Conference of European Rabbis has canceled its planned event in Baku, which was scheduled to take place from November 3 to 6 and expected to host around 600 participants from Europe, Israel, the U.S., and other countries, according to Ynetnews.
Among the expected attendees were Chief Rabbis David Yosef and Kalman Ber, as well as Israeli ministers Amichai Chikli and Amichai Eliyahu.
Organizers had highlighted the Baku event as the first major European rabbinical conference in a Muslim country, aiming to showcase interfaith cooperation.
No reasons for the cancellation or information on a possible new date were provided.
