Iran urges Azerbaijan to reopen the passenger border

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said reopening the passenger border with Azerbaijan remains one of the key issues in bilateral relations.

He said the matter has been raised repeatedly over the past year during meetings between the presidents and foreign ministers of both countries.

Araghchi added that Baku has maintained its borders remain closed to all countries, not just Iran, but promised to review the situation, while Tehran continues to await progress.
