Azerbaijan to raise funding for diplomatic missions in 2026 budget

Azerbaijan plans to allocate 215 million manats in 2026 to maintain its embassies and consulates abroad, an increase of 10 million manats or 4.9% compared with this year, according to the draft 2026 state budget package.

The document also allocates 23.5 million manats for membership fees to international and regional organizations, 38 million for participation in the capital of financial institutions, and 7 million for international events. Total spending for foreign relations, international aid and trade missions abroad is projected at 549.5 million manats — up 2.7% from 2025.
