Leyla Aliyeva attends opening of “Oil Boom Smiles at Everyone” festival

The “Oil Boom Smiles at Everyone” festival, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of renowned writer and playwright Maksud Ibragimbekov, opened at the Maksud Ibragimbekov Creativity Center.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the event, AZERTAC reported.

Center director Anna Ibragimbekova welcomed guests and thanked supporters of the project. Curator Nigar Rzayeva presented the programme’s concept, noting that it brings together theatre, literature, cinema, visual arts and contemporary thought.

Russian journalist Mikhail Gusman recalled Ibragimbekov’s energy, strength and deep devotion to his homeland.
