Serbia’s national carrier Air Serbia is in the final stage of negotiations with the Azerbaijani side to launch direct flights between Belgrade and Baku next summer, CEO Jiri Marek told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Marek said the airline is also considering adding a new route to the Middle East.

“We plan to further expand our European network and open new destinations. Following the successful launch of our direct flight to Tbilisi, we are in the final phase of talks to make Baku our next route. A decision will be made soon. We are also exploring an option in the Middle East,” he said.
