Azerbaijan and Jordan sign six cooperation documents
Six documents were signed in Baku following the 4th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Jordan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.
According to Report, the co-chairs — Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev and Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Al-Kuda — signed the Protocol of the meeting, along with the Executive Cooperation Programme for 2025–2027 covering science and education, culture and arts, youth and sports, archaeology, healthcare and media.
In addition, an agreement üas signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Jordan on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation between Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency and Jordan’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and an Executive Programme on tourism cooperation.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and Jordan’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation (JEDCO).
The co-chairs stressed the Commission’s role as the main platform for bilateral economic cooperation. They noted that specific areas of collaboration were agreed across trade, investment, industry, energy, transport, education, culture and other spheres, and highlighted that the progress achieved confirms the strategic nature of relations and the need to further expand cooperation.
