Hajiyev holds talks with EU officials during Brussels visit
Hikmet Hajiyev, foreign policy aide to the president of Azerbaijan, held meetings with European Union officials in Brussels, he said in a post on X.
Hajiyev wrote that the sides discussed the recent positive dynamics in Azerbaijan–EU relations and exchanged views on a broad range of issues on the bilateral agenda, including prospects for further strengthening cooperation.
He added that he also met with members of the EU’s Political and Security Committee.
According to Hajiyev, the discussions covered deepening cooperation with the EU, Azerbaijan’s regional peace agenda, the economic benefits of peace, the development of the Zangezur corridor and confidence-building measures. He thanked the committee’s chair, Ambassador Delphine Pronk, for supporting the next steps in cooperation.
