Apple’s senior vice president for hardware technologies, Johny Srouji, has dismissed speculation that he plans to leave the company. According to Bloomberg, Srouji told employees in an internal memo that he wanted to put an end to rumours about his potential exit.

He said he is proud of the technologies his teams are developing — from displays and cameras to sensors, chips and batteries — and stressed that he loves both his work and the people he works with, adding that he has no intention of leaving in the foreseeable future.

Earlier media reports had claimed Srouji told CEO Tim Cook he was “seriously considering” stepping down.
