Trump does not rule out new U.S. strikes on Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump has said he does not rule out launching additional strikes on Iran if Tehran refuses to reach an agreement with Washington and continues its missile program. He made the comments during a briefing at the White House.
Trump stated that without earlier U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, achieving stability in the Middle East would not have been possible.
He warned that Iran may attempt to continue its nuclear program, but if it does so without reaching an understanding with Washington, the U.S. will “destroy it again.” Trump added: “We can destroy their missiles very quickly.”
Earlier in November, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that Tehran intends to continue enriching uranium for peaceful purposes and has no intention of discussing the future of its missile program.
