Azerbaijani chess players to compete in 8th International Varna Open tournament

Six Azerbaijani chess players will compete in the 8th International Varna Open tournament to take place in Varna, Bulgaria, from June 19-27.The tournament will be organized by the Bulgarian Chess Federation, Veselin Topalov Chess Club and the Municipality of Varna, Azartac reported.In the tournament A, Azerbaijani grandmaster Rasul Ibrahimov will join 28 players from 22 countries.The tournament B will bring together 64 chess players from 22 countries, with Azerbaijan`s hopes be pinned on Mushvig Asgarov, Eldar Musayev, Vusal Abbasov, Farid Mammadov and Umid Aslanov.The Swiss system tournament will feature nine rounds.ANN.Az
