Azerbaijan Railways appoints new international cooperation head

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) has appointed Jeyhun Alakbarov as head of the bilateral cooperation department within its international relations division, Report news agency said.

Alakbarov holds a PhD in the history of international relations and has more than 20 years of experience in international affairs, political science and strategic communications.

He has previously worked with the United Nations, the World Health Organization and UNDP, and has served as an expert for UNESCO and the European Union.
