Armenian Apostolic Church prepares for overhaul

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has signed a “roadmap for renewal” of the Armenian Apostolic Church together with ten bishops.

The document предусматривает the public launch of a reform programme, the removal of the current “illegitimate” head of the Church, and the election of a caretaker for the Catholicosate.

It also includes the adoption of a new Church charter, followed by elections for the Catholicos of All Armenians.
